This kit is using 450AH LFP LiFePO4 cells which are testing well at 395-405AH capacity under a load test. These are un-jacketed cells which are a great solution for permanent location installs, however can be protected with rubber and foam to allow for a more portable setup. A smart BMS and plenty of capacity make this a great solution for your off-grid house, large scale UPS system or full time no compromise bus conversion. Max recommended inverter size 10,000W which is typically more than enough to run off-grid homes and bus conversions.
The BMS in this system is a serious piece of high tech kit, with a screen, external temperature sensor, shunt and control via CAN bus. To protect the cells from over charge/discharge it uses uses high current contactors capable of 500A continuous. What makes this kit Supercharged is a 48V kit of supercapacitors. These work to take the peak current draw off the cells directly acting like a reservoir storing the current for when you turn on the A/C, or fridge compressor starts.
